Koleszar Pottery: Hedwig Koleszar
Hedwig creates delicate porcelain forms, a delight to use in the rhythms of daily routine. They are worked on the wheel and warmly decorated. She gathers her inspiration from the beauty and sweetness of nature, as her studio is nestled in the hills of the rolling Gairloch Road.
To form her pieces, the porcelain clay is thrown on the wheel, dried to perfect consistency for trimming, smoothed, hand painted with natural themes, and fired twice, using only safe glazes. You are invited to see the work in progress.
