Have you ever wondered how people create knit projects, where both sides appear finished?

Double knitting creates a two layered fabric at the same time. This workshop will teach participants how to create a two-colour coaster.

  • Night one we will talk about the history of double knitting. Choose the chart and discuss how to read a chart. Class will end with casting on the coaster.

  • The following week, participants will lead with their questions, we will finish the squares and cast off.

Materials needed for the class:

Two different colours of yarn in the same weight and fibre

I am using Bernat Handicrafter Cotton in kits (worsted weight)

5 mm needles (straight or dpns are fine)

1 button with two holes that yarn can fit through.

Cost:

$20 PEICC Member
$30 Non Member

A materials kit can be purchased from CAWcreations for the class $10.
