Collect London - The Power of Objects

2026 Collect London - The Power of Objects

Voices of Contemporary Craft

This is a quick review of the week we spent at Collect fair in Somerset House London. @craftallianceatlantic represented 11 makers from Atlantic Canada in their gallery. PEI wood turner Darrell DesRoches @peiwoodturner from Blue Heron Studio & Gallery brought 5 turned oak vessels that were in very great demands and all sold. It was great seeing Darrell patiently interact with so many customers and fans, he is a great communicator and ambassador for PEi and had a blast at the collect show. Many of the other artists work is shown in these pictures. Also shown are a couple of visits to @cockpitstudios in both their locations meeting makers and seeing their spaces. Want to thank @innovation_pei for assisting with this project. Thanks to @bernard_hfx and @bybrunovinhas for all the hard work making this magical opportunity allowing 11 craft makers from Atlantic Canada a chance to take part in a well known front world stage exhibition a reality, finding the funding curating this beautiful booth, figuring out the logistics of getting all the pieces to collect safely and then back to Canada, printing brochures to hand out to 30,000 that come through the show and so much more 🙏congratulations on another successful show.
